Fig. IX — Materia Flexilis

Auralis PEEKMateria Flexilis — the flexible material

Polyetheretherketone discs for the metal-free side of the lab — framework, denture and provisional tiers that mill dry, polish in minutes and cushion the bite with an elastic modulus close to natural bone — far below metal.

The Tier System

Three tiers, one flexible polymer

Every Auralis PEEK disc belongs to one of three tiers. Choose by what the restoration must do — carry a framework, become the gingiva, or hold the place until the definitive arrives.

Tier II — Denture Base

PEEK Denture

Pink, gingiva-shaded

The denture tier. Pink-shaded discs for denture bases and telescopic work — monolithic gingiva that mills thin, stays dimensionally stable and never asks for a metal subframe.

Tier III — Provisional

PEEK Provisional

Millable & polishable

The provisional tier. For temporary abutments and provisional crowns — mills clean to the margin, polishes to a high gloss in minutes and seats without firing or light-curing.

PEEK vs Cast Metal

The flexible answer to cast metal

A cast framework is rigid by nature; PEEK is forgiving by design. It weighs a fraction of CoCr, contains no allergenic metals and flexes microscopically under load — sharing force with the ridge instead of dumping it on the abutments.

Shade System

Three shades cover the polymer's whole working range — natural and white for frameworks and provisionals, pink for anything that plays the role of gingiva.
